He graduated from the University of Alberta with a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy and before that, he graduated with an honours degree in Kinesiology from York University in Toronto. Basit enjoy treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries and orthopedic conditions, including spinal dysfunction or pain, sport and work-related injuries and motor vehicle accidents. He also specializes in Injury prevention programs as he is a firm believer in “prevention is better than cure”. His treatment style includes collaborating with his patients to better understand the underlying cause of injury, pain or dysfunction and to providing patient-specific treatment plans to getting you returning to things that matter most! After all, each patient is different, and as a result, his treatment approach with everyone will be different. His goal is to work with you to get you where you want to be.

When you meet, you’ll quickly learn about his passion for health and fitness. When he’s not treating, he’s busy engaging in various sporting/fitness activities such as bodybuilding, running, martial arts, basketball and soccer. If he wasn’t pursuing physiotherapy as a career, he would be pursuing his childhood dream of becoming a professional soccer player. I'm a big believer in finding your purpose, and for that reason, my favourite book will have to be “A fulfilled life through Ikigai & Kaizen” by Ichiro Sato. It's short and sweet and straight to the point.

Tell me you’ve watched Peaky Blinders.

The Sock Physio.
